Sassicaia 2013 is one of Italy’s most iconic Super Tuscans, produced by Tenuta San Guido in Bolgheri. The 2013 vintage is widely regarded as a benchmark year, combining finesse, structure, and exceptional aging potential.
Deep ruby in colour, the wine opens with a complex and refined bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry, layered with notes of cedar, tobacco, graphite, Mediterranean herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, with remarkable balance and precision. Fine, silky tannins support flavours of ripe dark fruits, cassis, leather, and mineral undertones, leading to a long, elegant, and persistent finish.
The blend is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc, giving the wine its signature structure, aromatic complexity, and longevity.
