Description
A classic Bordeaux red from the excellent 2015 vintage, Château Saint Paul offers a generous and approachable expression of Left Bank–style winemaking. Typically produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, it reflects both ripe fruit richness and traditional structure.
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet to ruby color. The nose is expressive and fruit-forward, with aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, and plum, complemented by subtle spice, cedar, and gentle oak notes. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a smooth yet structured texture. Ripe dark fruit flavors are supported by firm but polished tannins, giving balance and grip without harshness. Hints of cocoa, tobacco, and spice appear on the finish, adding depth and complexity.
The 2015 vintage is known in Bordeaux for its ripe fruit, concentration, and overall harmony, making this wine enjoyable now with a bit of air, while still offering short- to mid-term aging potential.
