Description
In the glass, it displays a deep garnet color. The nose is complex and inviting, offering aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, cassis, cedar, and hints of graphite and spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, with firm yet polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and concentrated dark fruit flavors. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent, with subtle earthy and mineral undertones characteristic of Pauillac.
The 2018 vintage is already approachable with careful decanting but will continue to develop beautifully over the next 15–20 years. Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2018 pairs superbly with roasted lamb, grilled red meats, game, and hearty dishes, making it an excellent choice for both special occasions and cellar-worthy enjoyment.
