Description
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby color. The nose is elegant and aromatic, offering notes of blackcurrant, red berries, and plum, complemented by hints of cedar, tobacco, and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, and a balanced core of dark fruit flavors. The structure is refined rather than powerful, leading to a smooth, persistent finish with classic Pauillac minerality.
The 2017 vintage is approachable earlier than more powerful years, making it enjoyable now with decanting, while still offering good ageing potential over the next 10–15 years.
