Les Griffons de Pichon Baron 2019 is the refined second wine of Château Pichon Baron from Pauillac, Bordeaux—crafted with the same precision and terroir expression as the Grand Vin, but with a more approachable style. Deep purple in colour, it opens with an elegant bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry, layered with notes of violets, tobacco, spice, and subtle oak. On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, offering a rich, structured texture with fine, polished tannins. Flavours of ripe black fruits, cocoa, espresso, and savoury herbs unfold with freshness and minerality, leading to a long, precise, and vibrant finish.
A blend of 59% Merlot and 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, this vintage balances generosity and elegance, making it approachable in its youth while still capable of aging for 15–20+ years.
