In the glass, it displays a deep ruby color. The nose reveals aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, and subtle floral notes, complemented by hints of cedar, spice, and graphite. On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, with silky, well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, and concentrated dark fruit flavors. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent, with classic minerality and subtle earthy undertones.
The 2020 vintage is already approachable with decanting but has excellent ageing potential over the next 12–15 years. Château Beychevelle 2020 pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled red meats, game, and rich vegetable dishes, making it an outstanding choice for both immediate enjoyment and long-term cellaring.
