Description
Château d’Armailhac 2016 is a classic Pauillac from Bordeaux, showcasing both power and elegance in a highly acclaimed vintage.
Deep garnet-purple in colour, it opens with an expressive nose of blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, and cassis, layered with notes of violets, cedar, graphite, and subtle spice.
On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, with a firm, structured backbone and fine-grained tannins. Flavours of dark fruits, liquorice, cocoa, and tobacco are supported by fresh acidity and mineral undertones, leading to a long, powerful, and well-balanced finish.
The blend consists of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, giving the wine its depth, complexity, and aging potential.
