A classic and elegant Margaux from an estate known for its refinement and consistency, Château Prieuré-Lichine 2014 reflects the finesse-driven style of the appellation in a cooler, structured vintage. Produced mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot, it combines aromatic precision with supple Bordeaux structure.
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color. The nose is expressive and refined, opening with blackcurrant, cherry, and red berry aromas, followed by floral notes of violet and subtle hints of cedar, graphite, and spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and elegant, with fine-grained tannins and a smooth texture. Bright red and black fruits are supported by fresh acidity and well-integrated oak, giving notes of tobacco, licorice, and gentle toast.
