This wine is made from Wairau Valley friut in the fresh, clean, dry style form which Marlborough has become famous. The wine shows a complex of tropical fruit characters with elements of passion-fruit, mango and paw paw, supported by impressions of ripe gooseberries and dried herbs. It is fruity and mouth filling but yet has a refreshing spine of crisp acidity which keeps it focussed and helps draw out its length. It was harvested in excellent conditions, giving a wine with a classic characters of passionfriut, citrus, gooseberries and underlying herbal complexities.
